Short Story

United States

“From the heart of suffering, I write to you…

I’m Amina, a girl from Gaza — not just the eldest sister, but the last hope for my family.

My mother is ill with high blood pressure. She can barely move, and we can’t even afford her medicine. My baby sister cries all night from hunger… there is no milk, no diapers. And my father, burdened by severe back pain, is unable to work or even stand for long.

We’ve been displaced for months… moving from one place to another with no shelter, no stable food, surviving on scraps of bread—when we find any.

Every morning begins with my sister’s cries, and every night ends with my mother’s silent tears. I’m just a girl… but I carry the weight of things no child should bear.

Please, don’t leave us alone. Even a small donation can provide milk for my sister, medicine for my mom, or a meal to ease our hunger. *You are our only hope in a world that has turned its back on us.”

This fundraiser is organized by Nandarani Abril, acting as the trusted intermediary on behalf of Amina Hamad and her family in Gaza.
